About

Fine Arts Baltimore LLC (FAB) designs fairs to foster meaningful connections between artists and audiences, ensuring that every piece of art is presented in a way that highlights its unique story and significance.

The art fair calendar can be overwhelming but creating authentic, accessible fairs is FAB’s specialty. FAB is dedicated to curating art fairs that celebrate creativity, and we believe that art is best experienced in settings that encourage personal engagement and genuine dialogue. Our fairs are thoughtfully organized to provide an immersive environment where art lovers can interact closely with creators and explore works in a space that feels both welcoming and intimate.

As a small, independent company, we prioritize the individual narratives of both emerging and established artists, offering a platform that values depth. It’s about cultivating a community where creativity is celebrated and where every visitor leaves with a deeper appreciation for the artistry that shapes our world.

The experience our partners bring to fair organization sets them apart. This partnership between an artist and gallerist, Brian Miller, and a curator, Ann Shafer, creates a true passion for producing unique art buying and networking experiences. That zeal and career experience means they have the power to bring collectors, curators, interior designers, art consultants, and others to the fairs that they produce. Exhibitors enjoy personal attention before, during, and after each fair. Brian & Ann’s on-the-ground presence during events changes the tenor of each FAB fair, creating a warm and congenial atmosphere that is enjoyed by visitors and exhibitors alike.

FAB is a collaboration between Vonderburg Investments in Art LLC and independent curator Ann Shafer. The former is owned by Brian Miller and Julie Funderburk whose business, Full Circle Fine Art, is a pillar of the Baltimore region’s arts community. Ann Shafer was formerly a curator at the Baltimore Museum of Art and directed the museum’s final print fairs in 2012, 2015, and 2017. She also hosts the printmaking podcast, Platemark: Prints and the Printmaking Ecosystem.
